Şeb-i Arus (meaning “Wedding Night” in Persian) is an annual Sufi commemoration marking the death anniversary of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi (1207–1273), the renowned Persian poet, Islamic scholar, and mystic.

In Sufism, Rumi’s death is not seen as an end but as a union with the divine—a spiritual “wedding night” with God. This view aligns with his teachings, which emphasize love, surrender, and the transcendence of the soul beyond the material world.

Key Highlights of Şeb-i Arus:

Whirling Dervish ceremonies (Sema): Symbolic of the soul’s journey to enlightenment.
Recitations and poetry: Rumi’s works are often read or chanted.

Musical performances: Sufi music with the ney (reed flute) and tambur (lute) plays an essential role.

Dress Code : As a tolerans house of Rumi there is no  any dress code. You may participate as you want.
